The classroom·Prompting, plainly·Show it one good example
One example beats a paragraph of rules.
On the call, we would ask
- Do you have a reply, a quote or a summary you would hold up as the standard?
- Does it contain a customer's details that would need removing?
- What is the most common way a draft comes out wrong?
- Could the example live somewhere the whole team's tool can read it?
In this unit: Prompting, plainly
- Give it the job, not a hint
- Show it one good example
- Tell it what to do when unsure
- The prompt you write once
